I have discovered – emotionally, I mean (I feel it, not just know it) – the peace you get from both photo-taking and writing about beautiful things. And I know the world isn’t everything beautiful, but it isn’t everything hateful either – and yet that is how we are taught to see it.
So even if we don’t have a responsibility to society to look on the nice and bright sides, we do have a responsibility to ourselves where not fulfilling such a responsibility leads us to dysfunctionality. And looking on the darker sides of such lives did lead me to a dysfunctionality – even recently; even at the weekend.
So if you need me to spout anger and hatred and bad words, I’m going to be less and less your man – even where such bad words, hatred and anger would be accurate.
I’d rather be sane, than dark. Yer know?
I’d rather be sane, than dark.
